PRP is a natural product that is found in the body. We obtain PRP by drawing a small amount of your blood and spinning it in a centrifuge at high speeds. This process separates the healing platelets and plasma from the rest of your blood cells.

Once we have isolated the PRP, we will apply it to your skin. To increase its effectiveness, we first perform a gentle microneedling procedure. This treatment creates hundreds of tiny wounds on your skin’s surface. We will then apply the PRP, allowing it to deeply penetrate your tissues. Procedure

Your PRP experience will consist of two powerful treatments: microneedling and platelet-rich plasma. We will perform the microneedling portion first. To begin, we will apply a numbing cream to ensure minimal discomfort. We will then pass a small, handheld device that contains tiny needles over the surface of your skin to create tiny wounds. As the body works to heal these areas, it will produce an abundance of fresh collagen and elastin.

Once the microneedling procedure is complete, we will begin the PRP treatment. This will involve first drawing a small amount of your blood and spinning it in a centrifuge at very high speeds to isolate the PRP. We will then apply the PRP directly to the wounds that were created with the microneedling device. This will enhance the benefits of the procedure and ensure that your body maximizes its production of youthful collagen.

Recovery

Following your PRP treatment, your skin may appear slightly pink – similar to the effects of a mild sunburn. This should dissipate in a couple of days.

The results of your procedure will not be apparent immediately, as your body first needs to respond by creating fresh collagen. This process should take four to eight weeks, and you can expect your results to progress steadily during this time. Most of our patients require three PRP sessions scheduled one month apart to achieve their ideal results.
